The Villa

Lay back in our wonderful stone-built Villa

The stone-built Villa Charonia is a great representation of the traditional style of architecture. Dating over 200 years old, it has been lovingly restored and renovated (2018) to a very high standard with original features such as the wooden beamed ceilings, arched main doorway and exposed stone walls left visible to admire. It has been a labour of love from the owner who has even named the Villa in memory of his father, after a large sea snailcalled the Triton's trumpet(scientific name: Charonia tritonis), which his father used to use daily to call his workers to the fields.

Even though Villa Charonia was restored and decorated with respect to the local style, it excels at having all the charm and character of the old house combined with the modern-day comforts our guests need. A comfortable and well thought out indoor and outdoor area and modern comfortable furniture and fittings should ensure a very enjoyable stay. The large private pool with its sun loungers and umbrella are perfect for cooling off on a hot day or stargazing at night! The different areas of the stone paved courtyard, the sitting area on the patio around the pool and the balcony on the first floor with stunning views over the whole valley, provide several areas to retreat and relax, even for the largest groups of guests.
